So what kind of gear do you need for a seven-hour bushwhack?
Not to worry, we've got you covered...there are lots of experienced runners in our group who have completed everything from bushwhacks to 100 milers and more.
The basics for the day are as follows:

We offer TarDevil branded merchandise with all net profits going to support the mission of acquiring land and managing a single-track foot path from UNC to Duke
Technical first-time finisher shirts - (black design, above)these are for finishers only...you must start and finish with the group. this is a special item, designed by Wisp, and shows the route, large culvert, UNC & Duke elements and more. A Brooks technical running shirt, in black and in Male and Female cuts ($20, free for first time finishers)
Cotten fitted t-shirts - New "participant" M/F shirts with Lily Reeves' updated rascal design (with an assist from Lane at Splinter) are in and available at each aid station. $20 ea and I can do paypal or venmo. You are 'eligible' for this shirt if you run any five mile section with us. Both in Mens and Women's sizes.
Note: The men's run large but mine shrunk to perfect size after a wash. The women's run small...so just check sizing and know they will shrink a bit.
The design is subtle, we did a single print (rather than a normal double print) on these with The Merch to have the image blend in with the background. We picked purple for no other reason than I didn't want black or any blues...
