- What: 30-mile run from UNC Old Well to Duke Chapel (even years) and Duke to UNC (odd years)
- Where: Starting at the Old Well on the grounds at UNC Chapel Hill utilizing public lands such as Carolina North Forest, Orange County, Triangle Land Conservancy and Duke Forest ending at Duke Chapel on the Duke University Campus
- When First Saturday of Every Year
- Why: To bring awareness to promote conservation, fitness and outdoor education in the local community

While we have made some early progress, there is much more that is needed before we can claim success at having an annual permanent event connecting UNC to Duke.
As of now, here are the stakeholders who must be approached and convinced of the overall viability. And funding will soon become a central part of our mission as many objectives will require investment, including land acquisition, trail creation, trail maintenance, and broader awareness.
The current route traverses over the following entities:

Town of Carrboro
Carolina North Forest (Owned by UNC Chapel Hill)
Orange County
Interstate 40 (NC DOT/Federal Highway Administration)
Triangle Land Conservancy
Duke Forest
Private Land Owners (three different ones)
County of Durham
Town of Durham
Duke University Campus
