Success!
The eighth running of the TarDevil 30 Mile Bushwhack was a roaring (roasting!) success.
Congrats on a great day in the woods. The hottest, stickiest, toughest TarDevil ever is behind you. And while we didn't see any snakes, we ran through weather that is normally only present in June-Aug, not March. So, Kudos to all of you, whether you did 20, 25 or "30" and especially to those newbies including:
Dave
Jacob
Dane
Laura
Ribz
You all had no idea what you were getting into and yet you persevered and crushed it. Congrats to each of you...very impressive.
And to LeaFe, how about you! Five-timer..welcome to the club. You are so awesome. Much better runner than your husband. He would have been complaining the entire day today. You? You were stoic and positive. (We do love your fam...)...congrats to you, too.
And there were return runners, as well..a bunch of you coming back for more. Can't say enough about how much I love being in the woods with each of you. Thanks for making it a fun day. (Looking at you Grub! 8-time finisher). And also to Oz (six-timer), Yogi (four-timer), Cruz, Reboot Psyclops, Bongo, Lisa (2 and 3 timers..)
And here are a few photos, courtesy of Snuffy (Thanks Snuffy!)
Also, big thanks to my co-creator, Dropkick...good to have you out there for the 8th straight year as well, my friend.
Last but not least, I want to thank Mrs. Skrapple (also on bcc) for her unwavering support...also for the eighth year in a row. You know I can't do it w/o you! Thank you, sweetie!
Look forward to seeing all you runners again, soon!
